FOR SALE: Custom $21,000 USD - OBO
Class B+ / Castle rock, WA

Up for sell is our classic custom 1981 E350 Brogham RV we have named Dirty Miles.
Miles has been though quite the transformation over the last year and is about 90% complete. He started out looking like the RV off of the show Breaking Bad and now he has been given new life. The very 1st thing we did was stripped him down. Sealed up the roof to protect all of the hard work that was done on the inside. We moved the kitchen window up to allow a nice view when cooking. The body was coated with Al’s bed liner. I fabricated Custom mirror mount to allow for bigger mirrors. LED marker lights. Also added led flood lights on both sides and the rear of the van. Also has a mount for a reolink LTE security camera (SIMs card not included) and can notify you in the event you have someone messing with your stuff. It allows you to bring up live feed on your phone. I can’t forget the outdoor shower located on the back out the van right of the house door.
Let’s talk about the work that has been done on the motor and transmission. The transmission was pulled and inspected. It was found to be in great shape with the appearance of a resent rebuild according to my transmission guy. I pulled the motor for a proper cleaning and new gaskets. While it was out changed out the timing chain for an aftermarket chain that is set to correct the retard timing set from the factory. Before the motor was reinstalled it received a fresh coat of Ford blue paint. It was topped off with a new 4 barrel intake manifold to provide a home for the Sniper Holley EFI kit. We did not stop there with the Holley parts. The sniper is in full control of the ignition system. We installed a Holley hyperspark distributer, Holley hyperspark CD Ignition box and hyperspark ignition coil to ensure complete compatibility. New power steering pump was installed along with an alternator. Now that Dirty Miles (yes the van has a name) has been upgraded to modem technology we had to upgrade both fuel tanks with new Holley fuel pumps. The rear axle gears have been swapped out from 4.10 to 3.54 for a lower RPM at Highway speeds. Note this modification did effect the speedometer to be 5 mph off. Meaning is your going 30 mph you’re really going 35 mph. Speaking of gauges there are a few that are not working on the factory dash, but these can be monitored on the Sniper touchscreen, conveniently mounted on the doghouse. The touchscreen provides a ton of information that is beyond the capabilities of the original equipment. The brakes have been full gone though and replaced. New pads, rotors drums, shoes, master cylinder.

Now to the fun stuff. The living area or “House”. We took the inside down to the studs. Gutted everything. Removed all rot and installed new insulation and ¾ flooring. Ran all new wiring for both DC and AC. New fuse box, water pump heck everything is new. Installed laminate flooring to protect the wood. Re sealed all the windows. Installed a maxx air roof fan, Dometic Brisk roof top A/C. The fresh water, Black and gray tanks have new level sensors. The interior was professionally upholstered. The dinette is made out of 80/20 extruded aluminum. The dinette can second as a bed. The couch has a storage drawer under the seating area. The arm rests remove to convert it into a bed. To keep our dogs save while traveling we installed 2 dog crates that serve as storage if the pups aren’t with us. (These can be removed upon request). Above the crates a storage tray is provide for more storage. This tray has a 120v outlet and USB charging. On the wall left of the crates is the On/Off switch for the massive 12v refrigerator. Next to the switch is the Victron Battery monitor. More on the Solar system later. That brings us to the 10 cubic ft refrigerator. The bathroom is hidden behind the RecPro Rv retractable rolling shower door. This door is a really nice. When the door opens it squeegees the door automatically. The Toilet paper even getting to feel high class with its water tight roll dispenser. On the other side of the aisle the counter runs from the dinette to the rear of the Van. House with in the cabinet is the furnace and water heater. Laid into the counter is the stove and oven combo. Right of the stove are built in spice rack. To the left is a nice and deep sink. The food prep area is to the left of the sink. A 120v and DC USB outlet is provided at the counter to run your coffee marker, blender or whatever you need. The fridge is nicely position to allow easy access for meal time.
The not perfect stuff: Power steering gear box leaks. The toilet leaks where the water comes in at. AC is not hooked up but I do have the compressor. Condenser is installed. Heater is not installed but the propane lines and ran to it. Counter needs to have doors. Forward of the living space needs finished. We have used the van on several trips and not having this done didn’t affect the outcome of the trip.
Now onto the solar system. As you guessed it the van house system runs off of batteries. Miles is fitted with two 300Ah (600 Ah total) Lithium LiFePO4 batteries. There are mutable ways we can charge them. 1st we have a DC to DC victron energy orion-tr smart charger. This takes the alternator from the vans motor and charges the house batteries. 2nd we have 2 400w (house grade not that amazon crap) solar panels. To convert that energy we use a Victron energy Smart solar charge controller. The 3rd way we can charge the by plugging in the system to shore power. Plugging into shore power dose a couple things. Charge the batteries using the Victron energy Multiplus 3000 inverter. While on shore power you can run all your AC needs without using your batteries. This BA solar system can all be monitored from your smart phone. Allowing you to see how much power you’re using and how long it will last. I was able to run the roof AC for 3 hr only off of batteries with the only thing charging the batteries was the solar panels which was putting out about 550w. At the time I didn’t have the DC to DC charger hooked up which will allow the batteries to last a lot longer. If not running the AC you will have power for a very long time. And if you’re batteries get low and the sun is not out or shore power is not an option. You just have to go take a drive. I designed the system specifically for boon docking in remote locations. I have been very impressed with the system and the van. It’s very common to get the waves and thumbs up when driving. It’s like driving a classic car. Ha, I guess it is a classic. The only reason we are selling Miles is because we just bought a toy hauler and I can’t load my dirt bike in the back of the van.
