So, we found a very good condition 1989 B-Class XTC Widebody, we are going to restore it back to pretty much original but with a few upgrades like getting rid of all carpet.
The fact that it will cost us 1/6 the cost of a new unit is definitely icing on the cake!!
The restoration will also be a great bonding experience with my 18yo daughter who loves doing this stuff with her old dad!

Before we started I spent a day having a Cummins shop go over the engine.
And with a clean bill of health on the engine and Chassis we found a RV shop in Nappanee to help us do the heavy work. We added two new slide outs to the bed room, replaced all the countertops kitchen and bath. New tile flooring front to rear. Back home in Arizona my wife and I stripped the stain off all the woodwork and re-stained with a soft cherry tone.
Added new hardware throughout, replaced the TV’s and upgraded the Entertainment System with new components.
Today we’re at 160,000 miles still running strong and we love our old 22 year old coach. With lots of TLC and “preventive maintenance” we have had great service and reliability from our 22 year old antique. So for us, updating and refurbishing was the perfect choice.
